Runergy joins United Nations Global Compact, commits to responsible business

Today, Jiangsu Runergy New Energy Technology Co., Ltd (hereinafter referred to as “Runergy”) announced that the company has recently joined the United Nations Global Compact initiative — a voluntary leadership platform for the development, implementation and disclosure of responsible business practices.

With this announcement, Runergy is proud to join thousands of other companies globally committed to taking responsible business action to create the world a sustainable one.

Launched in 2000, the UN Global Compact is the largest corporate sustainability initiative in the world, it is a call to companies everywhere to align their operations and strategies with ten universally accepted principles in the areas of human rights, labor, environment and anti-corruption, and to take action in support of UN goals and issues embodied in the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Founded in 2013, Runergy is a global leading company dedicated to the R&D and production of high-efficiency solar products. According to PVINFOLINK, Runergy has ranked the top three in the world in cell shipments for consecutive three years from 2020 to 2022. The company has long been incorporating responsible principles and practices in its corporate vision and business operation. Since establishment, Runergy has produced a total of 50GW of photovoltaic products and generated clean electricity of 50 billion kWh every year, equivalent to planting 2.8 billion trees and reducing 49.85 million tons of carbon dioxide emission.
